HCL Smart ® Band 19 mm POM
The Smart ® Band system is versatile in use because the strap and buckle are separate from each other. Thus, any diameter can be achieved. The Smart ® Band is available in various materials and widths:
- 19 mm: PA12 GF (= Nylon 12 glass fiber reinforced), POM, PA 66 (Nylon 66)
- 32 mm: PA12 GF (= Nylon 12 glass fiber reinforced)
Smart ® Band is HCL’s premium high strength composite polymer based band and buckle system. With a range of installation tools including the high speed 3000 pneumatic tool the Smart ® Band Hybrid is the ideal solution for many offshore & subsea applications including cable protection, Strake attachment & piggyback line installation.
Smart ® Band Hybrid is typically used as an alternative to high grade corrosion resistant alloy strapping solutions such as Inconel 625, Monel & Titanium. The Hybrid system combines a number of excellent qualities such as its high strength, ease of use, high retention and relaxation properties and its long life, to provide the ideal strapping solution for offshore & subsea use.

ATTENTION !! The buckle must be ordered separately !!!
Additional information:
Technically there is no limit to the Sea depth in which de straps and manual tools can be used as the tools (not pneumatic tool) and straps do not have any spaces and areas within them that has captive liquid or gas. However in reality as they are manually operated tools and Divers on saturation have limits of about 600m we are happy that they would work at that depth. Our PA12GF bands/buckles however have been deployed on pipes which have touched down on the Seabed at 2 Km deep!
The Pneumatic tool (SM-FT-3000) cannot be used underwater at all and is designed for the back of a vessel or oil rig where repetitive application at speed is required.
