The LCD10004BSPTV coupling with shut-off valve and 1/4" BSPT thread (conical, self-sealing) from CPC is the tank side coupling suitable for the TRIUMPH Sprint model. The integrated VITON seal (FKM) makes the LCD10004BSPTV suitable for use in combination with fuel.
Installation recommendation for the CPC quick couplings:
- Lubricate the threads of the coupling with Loctite 243
- Screw the coupling into the threads of the tank plate by hand
- Tighten ½ to ¾ turn with wrench
Keep in mind that:
After mounting, 2-3 turns of thread of the coupling are still visible above the tank plate, this is normal as the coupling has a conical thread and the thread in the tank plate is cylindrical.
Wait a day for the Loctite to set before filling the tank.
