This Couplingset for DUCATI consists of:
- The LCD10004V coupling body, with shut-off valve and a 1/4" NPT thread (conical, self-sealing) from CPC, is the tank side coupling for screwing in. The integrated VITON seal (FKM) makes the LCD10004V suitable for use in connection with fuel.
- The 90º coupling insert LCD23006V with shut-off valve and a 9.5 mm hose connection for 8 to 10 mm fuel hose (inner diameter). The LCD23006V has a VITON seal (FKM) and is therefore fuel resistant.
- 2 extra Viton sealing rings
Installation recommendation for the CPC quick couplings:
- Lubricate the threads of the coupling with Loctite 243
- Screw the coupling into the threads of the tank plate by hand
- Tighten ½ to ¾ turn with wrench
Keep in mind that:
After mounting, 2-3 turns of thread of the coupling are still visible above the tank plate, this is normal as the coupling has a conical thread and the thread in the tank plate is cylindrical.Wait a day for the Loctite to set before filling the tank.
Pay attention:
CPC does not manufacture this 90º insert nipple with an 8 mm hose connection. Normally, the 9.5mm hose tail will also fit an 8mm fuel hose, albeit with some effort. The hose connection is always slightly larger than the inside diameter of the fuel hose so that the hose sits securely on the grommet. Outside diameter at 3/8" ~ 10.5 mm.
