IQ-Parts Garden hose quick coupling | 40 mm | hose barb | brass
This quick coupling, suitable for garden hoses among other things, is a widely used coupling for quickly and safely connecting two hoses together.
These hose couplings are also known as GEKA couplings.
The claw spacing is 40 mm. Please ensure that you do not confuse this with the 42 mm claw spacing of the compression coupling.
This hose coupling features hose barb connections in the following sizes:
- 6 mm (¼”) hose ID
- 10 mm hose ID
- 13 mm (½") hose ID

16 mm (⁵⁄₈”) hose ID
- 19 mm (¾ ”) hose ID
- 25 mm (1”) hose ID
- 32 mm (1¼”) hose ID
- 38 mm (1½”) hose ID
Always use a suitable hose clamp when installing the hose to prevent leakage or detachment under pressure. See RELATED PRODUCTS below for a suitable hose clamp.
The quick coupling does not distinguish between the socket and the plug; these are interchangeable.
When disconnecting, remember to release the pressure from the hose first. This quick coupling does not have a shut-off function. If you wish to avoid the risk of disconnection under pressure, use a safety coupling.
You connect and disconnect both quick couplings by pressing them against each other and twisting them relative to one another.
The rubber ring ensures a leak-free connection.
