                  NORMAQUICK PS3 Quick Connector NW08 - 14 mm
PS3 “Push & Seal” plastic quick connectors are an ideal means for the secure connection of cooling water and heating hoses.
PS3 quick connectors are made from recyclable materials. For our standard versions we use polyamide 6.6 with 30% glass fiber content.
The standard material for the O-rings consists of EPDM-70. For PS3 quick connectors that are likely to be used in direct contact with coolants we recommend PA 6.6 with 30% glass fiber content that has been stabilized against heat and hydrolysis.
Please note that all PS3 quick connectors are delivered without spigot. However, we will be pleased to offer suitable VDA spigots for Line-to-Line connection on request.

Wire retainer is black coated.
The advantages at a glance:
- Snap assembly without tool – time and cost reduction
- Robot assembly possible – automated processes
- Compact structural dimensions – to be used in extremely narrow spaces
- Integrated seal – optimal tightness
For the PS3 couplings we recommend our silicone cooling water hose (CLICK HERE) and the associated stepless Oetiker ear clamps from the 167 series (CLICK HERE)
Note when using in refrigeration systems:
What does PS3 mean?
PS = "Pression maxima admissible" (French for "maximum allowable pressure").
PS3 therefore means a maximum allowable pressure of 3 bar (equivalent to 3.0 bar or 4.0 absolute bar at sea level).
In refrigerant systems:
If a system is equipped with PS3 couplings, this means: The maximum allowable pressure of those components (such as quick couplings, fittings, or pipes) is 3 bar (gauge). The refrigerant system must not operate above this pressure without risk of leakage or damage to the couplings.
Important:
Many refrigerant systems (such as air conditioners or heat pumps) operate well above 3 bar, especially when using modern refrigerants such as R-410A, R-32, CO₂, or propane (R-290). PS3 couplings are therefore not suitable for the high-pressure side of these systems. They are more commonly used on the low-pressure side or in specialized applications such as transport or water-cooled systems.
Conclusion:
The maximum pressure in a system with PS3 couplings is 3 bar (gauge).
If the system requires higher pressures, you should use couplings with a higher PS rating, such as PS6, PS10, or higher.
